“Saoirse Doyle is a singer/songwriter living on the Mornington Peninsula. Being born and raised in Ireland before immigrating to Australia in 2011 has allowed her to draw from her Celtic and folk influences to give her a distinctive sound. ‘Saoirse’ means ‘Freedom’ in Gaelic, which is encapsulated in playful, yet introspective writing and vocal spontaneity. Using poems as a lyrical springboard, Saoirse pushes her vocal boundaries in a constantly evolving bed of sound. Akin to the soulful, modern giants Yebba and Jazzmeia Horn, Saoirse uses a jazz blue-print to impart emotionally captivating performances
SAOIRSE brings her trio to the Edinburgh Castle to perform 2 sets of original music and a handpicked covers.”
