ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION
The Edinburgh Castle aims to be a safe and accessible space for all, and are continually trying to improve upon this.
We hope that the below information is helpful in planning your visit to Edinburgh Castle. For any questions or special requests, don’t hesitate to contact the venue prior to your visit.

GETTING HERE
ACCESSIBLE PARKING – There is street parking along Sydney Road and a carpark near the taxi rank across the road from the venue with accessible parking spots.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Tram – The number 19 tram from Flinders Street to North Coburg stops on Sydney Road right out front of Edinburgh Castle. Disembark from stop no.26. Please note: this tram stop is not wheelchair accessible.
Train – We are a 200m walk from Anstey Station, which is fully accessible
Bus - The 503 bus from Essendon to East Brunswick stops along Albion Street next to Edinburgh Castle.
DROP OFF/ PICK UP – There are areas available for drop-off/pick-up on Sydney Road. There is also a Taxi Rank across Sydney Road.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE – Our front door on Sydney Road is accessible for wheelchair users - the second door can be opened if extra room is required.
SERVICE
Service at Edinburgh Castle is done using me&u beacons & over the bar depending on Covid restrictions. There are beacons at each table, requiring a smart phone for ordering, and food and drinks will be brought to your table. We are currently not accepting cash.

GUIDE DOGS AND SERVICE DOGS
Guide dogs and service dogs are welcome in the venue. Please speak to someone at the bar if you would like water for your guide dog.
FRONT BAR, DINING ROOM & BEER GARDENS
ACCESS – The majority of the venue is accessible for wheelchair users. Some doorways out to the beer garden are more narrow - see below for dimensions. If you are a wheelchair user and need alternative access to the beer garden, please call us ahead of time and this can be arranged.
ACCESSIBLE TOILETS – There is a fully accessible toilet in the outdoor walkway to the Beer Garden. This toilet is accessible from all areas of the venue.
TABLES and SEATING – There are a number of different styles of tables and seating to suit all needs. If you have special seating requirements please pop them in your booking notes so we can accommodate you ahead of time, or give us a call if you have any specific questions.
