Melbourne’s own Americana/Alt Country outfit “The Distant South” return to the beautiful Edinburgh Castle Hotel on Saturday the 10th of August - playing 2 sets of their original music from 6pm. Playing songs from their 2 EP’s, their self titled album - plus a growing catalogue of new material, the Distant South play music written from the heart and filled with beautiful Melodies’ and harmonies. Nick Howells’ song writing draws comparisons to other story tellers such as Paul Kelly and Jason Isbell. The Distant South have been playing across Melbourne and regional Vic for the last 18 months to a growing audience – and released their first record in 2023.
