Marigolden is the musical project musician, Mel O’Neill. Emerging in the indie/rnb genre, marigolden creates a unique sound using jazz and R’n’B influences to meet her folk roots. The poetry of her lyrics echoes spoken word and her melodies combine quiet self-reflection with a passionate urgency. Usually an active member of the Melbourne live music scene, marigolden has used the circumstances of 2020 to release her fierce debut single 'Taking It Back', which has received a tremendous amount of support. An artist with a lot to say, marigolden is already working hard on her next release.
