Thomas E Flatman has been a part of the Melbourne music scene for the past 10 years, fronting the bands Durbeyfield and Flats and the Friendly Few. His emotive songwriting and soaring vocals are enhanced on a backdrop of rich arrangements and his lyrics draw on experiences, storytelling and characters from unique facets of his life, including working in professions like mental health recovery centres and teaching. Thomas has received air play and performed live to air on independent radio and
has had clips screened on ABC’s rage. This June he brings songs from his upcoming solo album, “Home-keeper” to the Edinburgh Castle beer garden for a Sunday show on the 9 th June, from 4pm.
