Grim Fawkner

Grim Fawkner makes a return to his old stomping ground of Melbourne's inner-north! After years of travelling around Australia, NZ, the UK and the EU with his guitars Johnette & Clementine, and picking up a few tricks and tales along the way, he'll be back to entertain us over 2 sets in the Edinburgh Castle's front bar on Thursday April 18th.
He's been a busy boy, recently opening for Kasey Chambers around Australia, and is joining The Marcus King Band at a sold out Byron Bay Bluesfest sideshow at the Northcote Social Club the night before he warms our stage. With an effortless finger-picking style and sincere songs, it's easy to see why Melbourne voted him "Melbourne's Best Busker" in a competition inspired and led by Once, The Musical. Inspired by artists such as Ireland's Glen Hansard, England's Ben Howard, and closer to home legends such as Kim Churchill, Nick Cave, & Dan Sultan, Grim has still carved his own sound out of the frequencies, with an unmistakable sound unto himself.
Grim will be accompanied by a couple of musical friends here and there throughout the show, and no doubt a few songs and stories will be shared across the mic by all, so come on down for a communal spirited night of fantastic music and conversation.
