Mariah McCarthy

Mariah McCarthy is Heathcote born, Bendigo based, folk singer/songwriter. Influenced by the story telling of Dylan and Young, with femininity reminiscent of Joni. This combined with her unique folk style makes for a captivating, intimate performance from the young artist. Mariah has spent four years in Melbourne, at which time she played in folk duo Deer Prudence. The pair played countless festivals including Wintermoon Festival (QLD), St Albans Folk Festival (NSW), Yackandandah Folk Festival (VIC) and Majors Creek Festival (NSW) where the ladies were the recipients of the Ros Hales Memorial Award for Young Women in Music. Mariah kept busy in 2017 performing at Kilmore Celtic Festival (VIC), Uranquinty Folk Festival (NSW), Surrey Hills Music Festival (VIC) and Bendigo Blues and Roots (VIC) as a soloist and spent the end of the year in the studio recording. Expect something magical with the release of Mariah McCarthy’s debut EP in April 2018.
